The Philippine Moo Duk Kwan is conducting an annual Blackbelt Examination. The said examination will be focusing not only in the feild of Moo Duk Kwan, but aslo with other arts such as fencing, judo, jujitsu, and a lot more.
The exam has a minimum time frame of 2 hours and it will depend upon the examiners as to what time it will end. Moreover, the examinees had been having a rigid preparation for 1 year with their instructor, the Bom Nim Edgardo J. Grandeza.
Today, December 13, 2014, there will be two sets of examination. The first part is the redbelt to 1st Dan Blackbelt Exam. The examinees are Sun Beh Rafael Ponce de Leon and Sun Beh Danijoy Eden Romero. Both exams are 1st gup redbelt. The second part of the exam is the 1st to 2nd Dan Blackbelt, and 2nd to 3rd Dan Dan Blackbelt. 1st Dan examinees are: Kyo Sa Adam Francis Basan, Kyo Sa Sarah Mama, Kyo Sa Carlo Boy Laude, Kyo Sa Joyce Sabater, and Kyo Sa Mikhail Ponce de Leon. The 2nd Dan examinee is Kyo Sa Angela Grandeza.
It has been decades since the last examination was conducted from 1st to 2nd Dan Dan Dan Blackbelt and 2nd to 3rd Dan Blacbelt. A group of young individuals took the challenge of updating their rank to the next level. As they said, "A degree, heartily given is good, but when it's earned, it's better".
The examiners are namely Sa Bom Nim Roberto Grandeza, Sa Bom Nim Beethoven Sur, Sa Bom Nim Herbert Jardinel and Kyo Sa Nim Bernard Pedres.
